诺奖委员会认为,这三位经济学家的理论证明了社会制度对一个国家繁荣的重要性。法治不佳的社会和剥削人口的制度不会带来增长或更好的变化。

SpaceX「星际工厂」亮相 目标每年生产 1000 艘飞船
SpaceX 近日完成了「星舰」的第五次试飞,在这一重要时刻之前,发布了一段视频,向公众展示了其「星际工厂」(Starfactory)制造基地。这个工厂占地约 9.29 万平方米,创新地将飞船制造的多个环节集中在一个厂房内,提高了早期建造阶段的系统集成效率。

曝 iPhone 18 Pro Max 首发 2nm 芯片
据业内人士手机晶片达人爆料,2026 年发布的 iPhone 18 系列将首发搭载 2nm 芯片。这款芯片被称为 A20,由台积电制造,预计在 2026 年推出。与此芯片一起,iPhone 18 系列的内存也将升级至 12GB,采用全新的 WMCM 封装技术。
台积电计划在 2025 年底开始量产 2nm 芯片,这使得 iPhone 18 系列成为第一款搭载此技术的智能手机。分析师郭明錤此前已确认,iPhone 17 系列将使用 N3P 制程芯片,而 iPhone 18 系列则将独占 2nm 芯片。
与 3nm 工艺相比,2nm 芯片的性能预计提升 10% 至 15%。这意味着在相同的工作负载下,芯片能够更快地执行任务。而在相同性能下,2nm 芯片的功耗有望降低 25% 至 30%,这对于延长设备的电池寿命和减少热量产生尤为重要。

据外媒报道,近日一辆特斯拉轿车在法国西部,尼奥尔市外燃烧发生火灾,导致车上的司机和三名乘客死亡。目前事故原因尚不明确,警方已展开调查。
初步报告显示,车辆高速撞击多个路标,救援人员到达时乘客已死亡。特斯拉近年因安全问题频受审查,包括自动驾驶功能导致的事故和大规模召回事件。

Nobel Prize in Economics Announced
On October 14th local time, the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences announced the 2024 Nobel Prize in Economics to Daron Acemoglu, Simon H. Johnson, and James Alan Robinson. The three winners will split the 11 million Swedish kronor prize equally.
The Nobel Committee believes that the theory of these three economists demonstrates the importance of social institutions for a country's prosperity. Societies with weak rule of law and exploitative systems do not bring growth or better change.
The winners' research suggests that one explanation for differences in national prosperity is the social institutions introduced during the colonial period. Inclusive mechanisms are often introduced in poor countries from the colonial era. Over time, this leads to widespread prosperity. The result is that some countries go from poverty to wealth, while others go from wealth to poverty.
SpaceX "Starship Factory" Unveiled; Aims to Produce 1000 Spaceships Annually
SpaceX recently completed the fifth test flight of the "Starship" and, on this significant occasion, released a video showcasing its "Starship Factory." This factory occupies about 92,900 square meters and efficiently integrates multiple stages of spaceship manufacturing into one building, improving the system integration efficiency in the early construction phase.
Elon Musk described the production line of the Starship factory, where products move smoothly between workstations, with each workstation manned by professionals focusing on specific tasks, achieving seamless production processes.
Musk has a grand vision for the production of Starships at the factory; he hopes that SpaceX can produce 1000 Starships annually as an important step towards the construction of a city on Mars. Currently, the annual production capacity of the Starship factory is estimated at about 100 rockets per year, completing one rocket every three days on average, which is already remarkably fast.
iPhone 18 Pro Max to Debut with 2nm Chip
According to industry insiders, the iPhone 18 series to be released in 2026 will feature a 2nm chip. This chip, named A20, will be manufactured by TSMC and is expected to be launched in 2026. Along with this chip, the iPhone 18 series will also upgrade its memory to 12GB and adopt a new WMCM encapsulation technology.
TSMC plans to start mass producing 2nm chips by the end of 2025, making the iPhone 18 series the first smartphone to feature this technology. Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has previously confirmed that the iPhone 17 series will use the N3P process chip, while the iPhone 18 series will exclusively use the 2nm chip.
Compared to the 3nm process, the 2nm chip is expected to improve performance by 10% to 15%. This means that the chip can execute tasks faster under the same workload. Additionally, at the same performance level, the 2nm chip is expected to reduce power consumption by 25% to 30%, which is crucial for extending the device's battery life and reducing heat generation.
TSMC is expected to start mass production of the 2nm process by the end of next year, and Apple has already reserved all the early production capacity of TSMC's 2nm process, although next year's iPhone 17 series will still remain on the 3nm process.
Tesla Car Catches Fire in Western France, Four People Dead
According to foreign reports, a Tesla car caught fire recently outside Niort in western France, leading to the deaths of the driver and three passengers. The cause of the accident is currently unclear, and the police have launched an investigation.
Initial reports indicate that the vehicle collided with multiple road signs at high speed, and when rescuers arrived, the passengers were already dead. OpenHarmony Goes Global
The third OpenHarmony Technical Conference was held in Shanghai on October 12 with the theme "Technological Leadership Builds Ecosystem, Connecting All Things to Create the Future." The conference brought together technical leaders, experts, developers, and scholars in the global open-source operating system field to discuss the latest technical developments, ecosystem construction, talent training, and industry practices of OpenHarmony.
The OpenHarmony community now has 8,060 contributors and more than 70 co-building units, with a total output of more than 110 million lines of code. The compatibility of 780+ products has been evaluated, widely applied in multiple fields.
OpenHarmony has also partnered with Europe's largest open-source organization Eclipse to release Oniro OS, aimed at promoting OpenHarmony in the European market through the Oniro project. In addition, the HarmonyOS NEXT based on OpenHarmony has started public testing, showcasing its technological innovation and application cases in the smart terminal field.

Recently, Honor CEO Zhao Ming, during a livestream with Zhou Hongyi, was asked when Honor would release a tri-fold phone. He responded:
"For Honor, making a tri-fold phone is not technically difficult. In short, it's about choosing to do a Z-fold or G-fold, whether to have two internal folds or a combination of an external fold and internal fold. We have the ability for external folds, with the thinnest external fold being Honor's V Purse and the thinnest internal fold being Honor's Magic V3. Samsung Electronics Faces Cold Winter, Market Value Evaporates Nearly 900 Trillion Won
According to data from the Korea Exchange, Samsung Electronics' stock has been sold by foreign investors for 23 consecutive trading days, nearing the longest stretch of 25 days of sales. During this period, the total value of the sales exceeded twice the previous record. Samsung's stock price has fallen to 50,000 won, with the market value evaporating approximately 900 trillion won.
Samsung Electronics expects a significant slowdown in third-quarter profit growth, partly due to low-end chip oversupply in China eroding its semiconductor profits and difficulties in making progress in the advanced chip field.
Samsung is also falling behind its competitors in the area of High Bandwidth Memory (HBM) products. HBM chips, short for High Bandwidth Memory, are a new type of CPU/GPU memory chip. By stacking multiple DDR chips together and packaging them with GPUs, HBM achieves the high computing power and large storage requirements of the big data era.
Of all memory chips, HBM is considered the "most suitable memory chip for AI training and inference." Therefore, HBM is gradually becoming a key force enabling storage industry giants to reverse their performance during market downturns.
Meanwhile, "SK Hynix" has been performing well in the HBM field due to its competitive advantage, becoming a target for net purchases by foreign investors.
Miniso Reaches Deep Strategic Cooperation with Meituan
Miniso and Meituan announced a major cooperation to launch over 800 "24H Superstores" that are open 24 hours a day for rapid online delivery services. Meituan will provide digital marketing support for Miniso.
Miniso is optimistic about the future of instant retail and flash warehouse formats and hopes that this cooperation will drive new business formats to become a new growth engine for the company. Meituan will utilize its platform advantage to support Miniso's exploration of new business formats and provide deep collaboration in site selection, merchandising, and operations. Current retail trends are moving towards online ordering and offline quick pickup, with consumers increasingly demanding immediate receipt of goods.
Through cooperation with Meituan, Miniso has become the brand with the most direct-operated flash warehouses in the instant retail field.
